Please read these terms carefully before making a donation or using our platform.

Important Notice: We are an independent, volunteer-led, grassroots initiative. We are NOT a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), trust, or society. Donations made through this platform do not qualify for 80G tax exemptions under the Income Tax Act.

1. Nature of the Platform

The AssamFlood platform is built and maintained by independent volunteers dedicated to providing relief materials to flood-affected communities in Assam. By using this platform, you acknowledge that you are contributing to a personal, community-led fundraising campaign.

2. Donations and Payments

All financial contributions made through this platform are strictly voluntary.
Payments are processed securely through our third-party payment gateway partner (Razorpay). We do not store your credit/debit card numbers or UPI PINs on our servers.
By proceeding with a donation, you confirm that the funds being donated are your own and are acquired through legal means.

3. Use of Funds and Transparency

We are committed to absolute transparency. The funds collected will be utilized exclusively for purchasing and distributing essential relief materials (such as food, clean water, medical supplies, and tarpaulins) to flood-affected areas in Assam. All expenditures are documented and made publicly available on our Expenses page.

4. Refund and Cancellation Policy

Because funds are rapidly deployed to purchase relief materials during emergency situations, all donations are strictly non-refundable. Once a successful payment is made, it cannot be canceled or reversed. In the event of a technical failure where your account is debited but the donation is not recorded, the payment gateway will automatically process a refund to your original payment method within 5-7 business days.

5. User Accounts and Privacy

To ensure authenticity and track donations, we require users to log in using their mobile numbers via secure OTP authentication. We collect only the minimum necessary data (Name and Phone Number). We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third-party marketing agencies.

6. Limitation of Liability

While we make every effort to ensure funds are used efficiently and transparently, the organizers, volunteers, and developers of this platform shall not be held legally liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or your decision to donate.
